New Classes for 2015

Started thinking about your New Year’s resolutions yet? Forget joining the gym, being healthier or trying to stop drinking – now is the time to treat yourself to something exciting and inspiring once the fuss and fizz of Christmas has gone. Don’t be left feeling as flat as those deflated Christmas balloons – join us for a whole host of new classes and workshops, where you can learn new skills or brush up on old ones, make new crafty friends and most importantly have some fun.

Kicking off January we have three of our most popular Get to Know Your Sewing Machine classes; great for those who haven’t sat behind a sewing machine for years or those that haven’t even taken their first stitch. Learn some basic skills and increase your confidence in what you can make in the future. Classes take place from 10am – 1pm on Saturday 3rd, 17th and 31st January 2015, and cost £40.00 per person.

More exciting sewing workshops continue throughout the month as Sally invites you to get to grips with patchwork, learn how to insert zips of all sorts, create a quilted notebook cover or make yourself a lovely little iPad or kindle stand – perfect for hands free reading. For those that want more adventurous projects, you can attempt to tackle tab top and taped curtains, or get ahead of the weather and make some dresses or shorts for children.

If knitting is what has been inspiring you over the winter, you can join Lotte Jamieson as she holds her beginner’s knitting workshops once more. For those that have never knitted a stitch, and anyone that wants a bit of a brush up on knitting and purling, this is the perfect class to get to grips with basic knitting and come away armed with the skills to make yourself a roasty, toasty scarf to see you through the rest of winter. Lotte will also be holding a cable workshop for those that want to get to grips with the lovely twisty patterns seen on all kinds of knitwear this season; choose from creating a pair of boot cuffs, an iPad case or a cabled cowl.
