Emporia Patterns

We have developed our range of independent dress patterns over the past few years and now have several in our collection, ranging from kids to adult designs. If you are a new to sewing or an experienced maker, you will find lots to inspire you here. You can purchase patterns from us in person at the shop located in Park Mall, Ashford town centre, or online at the Emporia website.

Kimono Dress Pattern

Our kimono dress is a bestseller and one of our most popular classes; it’s an incredibly versatile design that can work just as well in the winter as in the summer, just by using different accessories. The pattern comes in sizes small, medium and large.

Cassie Dress Pattern

A full gathered skirt hangs from a simply cut, loose fitting bodice that is styled like a t-shirt or a strappy sundress style top, making this the ultimate summer dress. Available in sizes 6 to 24.

Bella Dress Pattern

Cassie and Bella are a matching Mummy and Me dress combo for adults and kids. Choose from a loose fitting t-shirt dress or try the sundress which features strap ties in a cute bow at the shoulder, and a slightly lower neckline for hotter temperatures. Available in ages 3 to 12.

Reversible Dress Pattern

Available in ages 1 – 6, this little girl’s dress is a great pattern for beginners as it features no closures and only two pattern pieces. Super versatile, this can be worn as a summer dress as well as pinafore style over a long sleeved t-shirt in colder months.

A-line Skirt

Clean lines and a smooth silhouette are the main feature of the A-line skirt, which is based on a classic design. The pattern is a good next step for beginner sewists, as it features cutaway pockets, two darts and a zip, plus an attached waistband. Available in waist sizes 25″ – 34″.

Alice Trousers Pattern

Super comfy and easy to make, the Alice trousers are designed to be an easy introduction to sewing trousers. Alice features cutaway pockets, a gently tapered leg, an elasticated waist and ankles, or you can simply hem at the bottom depending on your desired look. The pattern is available is sizes 8 – 20 and is a loose fitting garment.

Reversible Shorts Pattern

Available in sizes age 1 – 7, these funky reversible shorts are the best thing for summer, giving you two pairs of shorts for the price of one! Another pattern that is perfectly suited to beginners, the shorts feature in-seam pockets and an elasticated waistband.

Reversible Skirt Instructions

Our third reversible item is available to make for all ages and sizes as it’s a simple set of instructions that allow you to self-draught your own pattern pieces. Simply follow the guidelines, take the relevant measurements and create this fabulous double sided skirt.

Amelie Dress Pattern

Available in sizes age 1-6, this is a slightly more advanced pattern for a little girl’s dress. Featuring a gathered skirt and three-quarter length sleeves, the Amelie makes a great party dress or even a bridesmaid dress. The sleeveless version is ideal for summer and just as swishy for little people that love to twirl.
